Water is essential for life. Although that sounds obvious, we’re one of the few clean beauty brands supporting water conservation through both mindful formulation and eco-friendly packaging.
While conventional hair products often contain chemicals that pollute our waterways, our clean formulas are 100% non-negotiable in their commitment to water-friendly ingredients. We never use synthetic fragrances or toxic chemicals that can harm aquatic ecosystems when they wash down drains and enter our water systems, including carcinogens, hormone disruptors, skin sensitizers, and environmental pollutants.
And, unlike others in the clean beauty space, we don't use the "fragrance loophole" to include questionable ingredients in our scents. In other words, even our aromas are crafted for the planet’s well-being!

Clean beauty isn't just about personal wellbeing. At Neuma, it’s also about community impact.
For example, our partnership with Trees For The Future goes beyond merely planting trees. The program also helps train farmers in agroforestry, helping communities develop thriving food systems and regional economies.
Since we joined forces in 2022, our collaboration has sequestered 5,189 metric tonnes of CO2. In 2023 alone, Neuma funded the planting of 139,511 trees across Sub-Saharan African countries, including Mali, Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania.
These efforts have supported 893 beneficiaries, trained 112 farmers, and planted 112 forest gardens, supporting our goal of cultivating cleaner water resources for communities worldwide.
